Pastor Rick Rivas
Our Covenant

We, the members of this Coalition, do covenant together, God helping us, to further the cause of Christ and to walk worthy of the calling with which we are called.
(Ephesians 4:1).

To put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and evil speaking, and to be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ has forgiven us.
(Ephesians 4:31).

To do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith
(Galatians 6:10).

To submit to all in love and according to the Word of God. To give cheerfully of our time, talent and treasure as God prospers us and to be willing workers in the vineyard of the Lord.
(II Corinthians 9:6-8)
Pastor Rick Rivas has been fully  committed to Jesus Christ since 2002.

He began his true walk with Christ as he started learning & attending Sunrise church in Rialto, California. There he committed to every class he could join & learn & grow more in Christ. His commitment to Christ led him to teach classes at Sunrise church. Not only did he become a Teacher, but he got involved in
ministries such as sports for the youth & adults. Prayer ministry, new believer’s ministry, & hospital ministry were also among his list of service. He then began teaching in the men's ministry. Through all that, he believed God had called him to the Missions field, & his calling in Missions had led him to go to cities in Mexico, such as Tijuana, Tecate, Matamoros, Puerto Nuevo, & Torreon. There he has seen many come to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. He's taken food, gifts & toys to children, but most of all the word of God to the lost in Mexico. Rick Rivas then became ordained by Pastor Ruben Rodriguez, where he Pastored a church in Paso Robles, California. He is now a missionary Pastor serving Christ.
Our Declaration of Faith

† We believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself and His will to man and is the infallible, authoritative and all-sufficient rule of faith and conduct. I Thessalonians 2:13; II Timothy 3:15-17; and I Peter 1:20-21

† We believe in the Trinity of the Godhead. "The Lord our God is one Lord.” Deuteronomy 6:4.  However, within this unity there is a plurality of personality; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are coequal and coeternal.  Matthew 3:16-1 7; 28:19; John 10:30; and 1 John 5:7

† We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth; an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.  Mal. 2:10, Jeremiah 31:9, Romans 3:29, Matthew 6:26, John 1:12-13.

† We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. He is God incarnate, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.  We believe in His deity, His eternal pre-existence, His incarnation through the Virgin Birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death, resurrection from the dead, ascension into Heaven, intercessory ministry, and return to Earth in power and glory. John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:5-7; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:8, Matthew 28:5-6; Acts 3:26; Romans 1:4; 4 :24-25

† We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son, to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, baptize with fire and empower for ministry all who trust and abide in Christ.  The Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ, and is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, and in His provision of the Biblical fruit and gifts of the Spirit.  Matthew 3:11, John 15:26, 16:7-8, 13, 20:22, Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 38, 1 Corinthians 12, Galatians 5:16-26

† We believe that man has fallen from a state of innocence through transgression. Created perfect in the image Of God, Adam disobeyed God and so introduced sin and its consequence of shame, damage, alienation and death into the human race. Every human is by nature a sinner and in need of redemption.  Psalm 5 1:5; Isaiah 59:2; Romans 5:12; 6:23; 11:32;  I Corinthians 15:21-22

† We believe in the redemption of man only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.  Hebrews 2:9; 9:26; 1 Peter 1:18-19

† We believe in man’s salvation through confession and repentance from sin and acceptance of Christ's atonement by faith.  We believe that ongoing forgiveness and restoration are available through Christ as many times as a believer may need to ask.  For this reason, we need to emphasize Grace and Truth;  that being absolutely gracious toward ourselves and other believers when we sin will enable us all to be truthful with each other, and quickly and easily confess our sins to God for our forgiveness (John 1:12; 3:16; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9) and to one another for our healing (James 5:16).

† We believe in the Christian Life - that we are rescued from the world and set apart as God’s holy people for the fulfillment of His own plans and purposes for our lives.
Romans 12:1-2

† We believe that as we grow in Christ, we can be healed of our past and empowered for our future.
Philippians 3:12-14

† We also trust Him to enable us to live lives that are pleasing to Him, and also knowing that when we fall short, He is our Advocate with the Father.
Romans 6:13; 12:1-2; Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 2:5, 9, Revelation 1:6, 5:9-10

† We believe in the Church, the local fellowship of believers and the worldwide communion of faith.

† We believe that although Christians, churches and denominations may differ on certain issues, that love, unity and cooperation should be paramount in properly representing Christ to the world and winning souls to Him.
John 17

† We believe that a local church should provide the teaching of the Scriptures, prayer, fellowship, mutual support, concern and care, grace and mercy, acceptance and understanding, healing, restoration and reconciliation.

† We believe in the ordinances of water baptism and holy communion.
Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:4; and 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

† We believe in the existence of Satan as a fallen angel, a created being. He is the enemy of God, the source of all evil, and the destroyer of men.
Matthew 4:1-11; John 8:44, 10:10; Ephesians 6:12; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:9-10

† We believe in the reality of Heaven and Hell.
Luke 1 6:19-31; Mark 9:43; John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:10, 14-15; chapters 21-22

† We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ.

John 14:3; Acts 1:11; and I Thessalonians 4:13-18

† We believe in the Great Commission of the Church, to go into all the world and make disciples.

Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; and Acts 1:8

† We believe in the bodily resurrection of the believer, and that we will be with the Lord forever.
Romans 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-55;  1 John 3:2
